REGARD 3900 Controller

The Regard 3900 is a fully configurable control panel for up to 16 channels to monitor toxic gases, oxygen, and flammable vapours and gases. It is suitable for all 2-wire or 3-wire transmitters with a 4-20mA output signal (electrical source).

Its ABS housing ensures it is robust and ingress protected. Several different versions are available:

• Regard 3900: wall-mount model with an LCD display
• Regard 3910: model for rack-based installation with an LCD display and a backplane
• Regard 3920: wall-mount model with a large display screen (full text display)

The control panel has up to four input/output modules. Each module can accommodate up to 4 2-wire or 3-wire 4-20mA transmitters and includes 3 relays with common ‘Fault’, ‘Alarm 1’ and ‘Alarm 2’ outputs.

Two relay modules can be added to the control panel. Each module has eight zero-potential, single-pole (SPDT) relays: a non-configurable fault relay and seven configurable relays to control alarms, fans or electrical systems, for example.

System configuration and maintenance is carried out using the REGARD 3900 Windows-based software. To use the software, the control panel must be connected to the PC via an RS-232 interface cable. No other tools are required.

PC configuration: Windows 2000 or XP, 128MB RAM, 800 x 600 minimum screen resolution, mouse or other pointing device, and a serial port.
